Performance Pistol: Advanced Skill Development is a two-day, high-round-count training course designed for shooters who already have a solid foundation and are ready to push performance, efficiency, and consistency to a higher level.

 

This is an advanced-level course intended for motivated shooters seeking to refine mechanics, validate skills under pressure, and gain exposure to multiple instructional perspectives. Students will benefit from structured training blocks led by Daniel Richardson (Richardson Precision & Training)and Ken Stretz of Stretz Tactical.

Daniel Richardson has over 15 years of instructor experience, including time as a Sig Sauer Academy Affiliate Instructor and was featured on the Vickers Tactical YouTube Channel with Larry Vickers.

 

Ken Stretz brings extensive law enforcement & military experience to the range and serves as a Safariland Blog author & Brand Ambassador, offering proven insight into real-world equipment usage and Duty-based application.

 

Course Structure

Training Focus

  •    Advanced shooting mechanics and recoil management

  •    Efficient weapon manipulation at speed

  •    Performance-based problem solving and accountability drills

  •    Effective use of duty or concealment equipment

  •    Skill validation through measurable standards

  •    Strong & support hand draws, shooting and manipulations

  •    Shooting on the move

  •    Shooting, moving & communicating with a buddy

 

Prerequisites

  •   Ability to stand, move, and train on the range for extended periods

  •   Completion of  a Level 1 / Fundamentals pistol course with a reputable organization or  be current or former military/law enforcement

Equipment & Ammunition Requirements

  •   Reliable handgun

  •   STURDY holster NO SERPA  HOLSTERS UNLESS YOU ARE AN ARMED           PROFESSIONAL AND IT IS YOUR ISSUED HOLSTER

  •   MINIMUM OF 3 magazines with magazine pouch or ability to carry mags on you

  •   Eye and ear protection

  •   Water/snacks

  •   Clothing appropriate for the weather - we shoot rain or shine
