1DAY CARBINE/PISTOL SKILLS

This class will focus on key skills and drills with both pistol and carbine. Using a variety of range exercises, this class will focus on refining handgun and carbine handling, manipulation and marksmanship. You will be coached and guided through key drills for employing these weapons systems in a lethal force incident.

This class is a great tune up for someone who hasn't trained in a while, the armed professional who doesn't receive enough quality training and someone who has already completed an introductory pistol and introductory carbine class.

Physical requirements: For all tactical classes, students must be able to run short distances & be capable of standing for long periods.

REQUIREMENTS:
 

Carbine: Serviceable duty grade carbine/subgun in .223/5.56, .300 B.O.,  7.62x39, 9mm, .40 S&W or .45 ACP. 

The class is geared towards the AR-15 / M-4 carbine, but other proven platforms are acceptable

- Serviceable sling (tactical type preferred.)

- Minimum of 5 serviceable carbine magazines
- Optics – (Optional, but highly suggested)

- Minimum 1 carbine magazine pouch or method to carry at least two spares magazine(s)

** When noted that there will be a low light component, a carbine mounted and hand held light will be mandatory**

 

Handgun: Serviceable semiautomatic handgun in at least 9MM

- STURDY STRONG SIDE HOLSTER 

(NO cross-draw, shoulder, ankle or Blackhawk Serpa holsters,I WILL ALLOW SERPA HOLSTERS ONLY IF YOU ARE AN ARMED PROFESSIONAL & IT IS YOUR ISSUED DUTY HOLSTER)

- Minimum one double magazine pouch/Ability to carry minimum of two magazines

- Minimum of three serviceable magazines (5 is better)

 

​Ammo Requirements:

- 350 rounds of carbine ammunition 

- 350 rounds of handgun ammunition

- 10 dummy rounds carbine & 10 pistol

 

Eye and ear protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
Suitable range wear depending on the season

Rain gear (we shoot rain or shine)
Weapon cleaning & lubrication supplies
Good attitude

Water
Lunch / Snacks

 

OPTIONAL MISC.:
Sunblock/Lip balm
Baseball style hat

ZEROED WEAPONS 100-yard carbine preferred, but others are acceptable if you have a good reason why and understand it.
